it is a benzodiazapine. It is used to treat anxiety. It differs from xanax in the delivery mechanisms and has less highs and lows as compared to other benzodiazapines.

I think it is the brand name for xanax which is an antianxiety medication. also used as an 'upper' when bought on the streets. is highly addicitve when misused but when following the doctors orders can help a person deal with anxiety effectively. tried to find a site but all i came up with was places to find it online. This one from wikipedia is rather overwhelming.

Trade name is Klonopin, is an anti-convulsant, used for several different types of seizures. Should not be be mixed with alochol. Old medication,been around for years;many MD's have ceased using, and gone with the new generation of anti-convulsants.

I am not sure if you perhaps mean clonopin or diazapam (Valium). Generally a medicine that has "pam" in it is for anxiety, general anxiety disorder (GAD), or stress. It can also be used to help you sleep and is sometimes given to people prior to surgery (medical or dental). It's purpose is to relax you. If you are taking it, follow the directions- you have to be careful about the dosages. NEVER drink alcohol while taking it either. I am assuming you have it by prescription and that it doesn't belong to someone else, in which case could be dangerous. Any time you are given a new prescription, you should read all the information on it that hopefully comes with the drug.

in my country clonazapam is rated a sedative with some narcotic qualities. i took it for a sleeping problem for a while but it didnt do much for me. made my stomach upset too. clonazapam can be given for seizures, anxiety attacks, and other nervous problems.

here it falls into the same class as lorazapam, valium, xanax, etc.
