Personally I like the Renault alot more than the SD, everybody has there own oponion Though. I would wait some time to see if there are any defects the factory inspections missed, They have about the same gas mileage though. There is a huge difference in price.
Here is a web site that might help

happy i could help
PS I hope you make a good choice
Compare to Fiesta, Logan look very promissing from the sense of Gas price and maintenance. Me not convinced with Transmission neither with 1.5 DLS Diesel. Plenty of room, depressing cheap interior. But still i recommend it because it runs great on indian roads.
I guess there is a huge price difference... if price is not a concern for you, you can try it.. but i would suggest you to wait for some time. When the car logan is launched and people tested, then only you should go for it after taking some feedbacks from people/..
Yes you should for the following reasons:
- It's far more powerful, roomy and good-looking than Swift Diesel
- The interiors and the styling is very European
- The RENAULT diesel engine!
- Go now, as you get 50% imported parts!
- Mahindra & Mahindra is going long term and has a wide presence in India.
- Same / better fuel efficiency than Logan, perhaps better than Fiesta.
Only cons that you may consider:
- M&M does not figure very high on the JD Power Consumer Satisfaction Survey
- Logan is a new car offering from a new JV and a completely new experience for M&M
If you're looking for driving pleasure, you will find it a little underpowered. But if you're looking for space and a big car feel, close your eyes and sign the cheque
my advice is plz wait before buying the Logan if there are any reputed problems in the logan then you would suffer . i don't know whether renault can go hand in hand with the mahindra .
swift is a good car but the diesel version is not exciting since it is not having many features of the swift petrol version like rear defogger . EBD(not even optional ) on the high end versions and many more and do remember it costs more than the petrol version.
have patience and wait for some time .
it isn't launched yet but you can really go for it as the charachter is close to ford fiesta with good comfort mileage and performance. and don't worry you can service it in any mahindra showroom as renault company as allianced with mahindra in its Indian story
