Can't fall asleep at night?
Hi, I'm 14 and at night when i try to go to sleep i just end up laying there for about an hour. I just can't stop thinking about tomorrow or what happened today. And sometimes a song will play over and over in my head and i just can't stop it. If anyone knows why this is happening please help. Thanks in advance

It just because you have so much going on that your having trouble switching off. Try listening to some relaxing music while lying in bed before you go to sleep. Try to avoid doing homework just before bedtime. I found that if I study late at night and I learn something interesting just before I go to bed I end up thinking about it all night and it takes me ages to get to sleep. So nothing to exciting before bed, just relax!!!

I think that's pretty normal for lots of people, including myself.
I always lie in bed for about an hour before I sleep just thinking about today and planning for tomorrow.
I feel sorry for the people whose lives are so boring that they don't have anything to think about and just switch off at the end of the day.

Get a little note pad and a pen and keep it next to your bed, and when that happens, write down everything you are thinking about like stuff for tomorrow or stuff you are thinking about from today, and realize that you can ponder it another time, get it out of your head, put it on paper and then you can relax. It's totally normal though, I think it happens to everyone. Also, reading a good book til you can't keep your eyes open any longer works too.

I have the same problem, I think most people do. The best way to get to sleep faster, and get the racing thoughts out of your head is to find what works best for you. I usually end up writing in a journal to get everything off my mind before i go to bed. Or, if that dosen't work, sometimes i'll lie in bed, and read a booring book. that always does the trick for me. Sometimes the cause of this can be stress, even if it's mild. Take your mind off things before you go to bed.
