Can someone explain why Kareena Kapoor is nicknamed Bebo?

I mean seriously...what is that? It sounds like a disease or virus or something....."I'm sorry to inform you sir, but you have contracted the Bebo virus" lol :-D. No but seriously, why is that her nickname?

it is just a nicknam her family gave her when she was young...i guess its a Punjabi thing because most punjabis have meaningless nicknames.....i mean most stars do too...like karismas is lolo and hriticks is duggu......i think kareena has realli needs to step off when it comes to the hoochie clothes i dotn get y she wants to b liek victoria bekham.....but aniwaiz i think she is reali fit and that is a good thing i actually love her new song its realli catchy!!!!

well i dont know but couple of days i was watchin Coffee wid Karan!!!

n she was da guest n was asked da same question

n she said well my parents called me Baby at first but den after a while gave me a nick name which was rhymin wid karishma's LOLO (lol);)
so they started callin her BeBO

well its kinna weird!!! but gotta deal wid BEBO hehehe

I think,she would be listening to the "Bebot Bebot" song by "Black Eyed Peas" and thus,i think....''Bebot" hindi mein itna suit nahi karta....to bebo rakhdiya hoga!!

U R correct, she is a desease AND a virus for the Bollywood.But 'Bebo' is a Sindhi word as her Mom babita had once explained.
Kareena's Dad Randhir (Dabboo) is the ONLY decent gentleman in their family. But ( perhaps for the same reason) these 2 synthetic Sindhans (mother & daughter) expelled him from their lives, & carried on unfettered.
Do U know that the unabashed romance between Babita & -hold your breath--Ranjit the villain was a roaring affair of the 70's , which had pushed poor Dabboo to boozing in the first place?
