India TV is spreding the rumour since last 15 days regularly at every hour that the world is going to end on Wednesday next, because, some scientists in Russia are making a deep hole in the inner layer of the earth...!
A few days before, almost every hindi news channel in India made so great a fuss about the date 08/08/2008, spreading the rumour that because three 8's combined on this death, there will be disasters like earth quake or calamity somewhere !
Even on the lunar eclipse on 21 Aug 2008, these nusuince channels spread the rumours that some great trouble will happen to the world !
Just in thier mindless frenzy to increase their TRP over their competitors, it seems that hindi news channels in india have lost their reason, sense of responsibility and degenerated even more than the cheapest tabloid in the world ! Every now and then, they r vieing with one another only to sensationalize and scar the viewers more n more !
Without a single exception, all hindi news channels are telecasting crime bulletins in which they "dramatize" ( see their creativity !)some crime-based theme and teach criminals how to commit crimes in a new way ! Even the anchors they choose to present such bulletins are big bearded, red eyes, speaking in a threating voice, like a criminal, as if they took criminals as their ro;e models and try to imitate their get-up !
It is high time that a law be made to control
such mindless media who r misusing their right to freedom of expression just to scare and frighten the viewers and make a headline of every worthless news at every single meaning ! they have exceeded so much in sensationalism that even the terms "BREAKING NEWS" have lost their meaning in the real sense, if u look at what news r really broadcast under the breaking news caption on any hindi news channel in india !

yeah, i am completely agree with u . i just quit watching those news channels. all the time, i believe they spread rumours all the time like STAR NEWS, AAJ TAK , AND INDIA TV . These channels don't have professional presentation , all the time they aired nonsense news round the clock. I will suggest u to watch NDTV NEWS, i believe that the r bit professional and present a real news. KABRON KI KHABAR IS THE MOST REAL MEANING FULL PRESENTATION ON HINDI CHANE LSS NEWS.

I agree with you and hope many of Inidans will,We should organise a protest against these shameless chanells,There are examples of they have even took soem lives by broadcasting some news,
Chanells mentioned in the other answers should investigate why we are writing these things to them! if they have any shame left

Being a television journalist I really sorry to say that bogus India TV also broadcast programme on "Ojha-bhut pet [ghost].". Any way except Star News -each & every hindi news channel including IBN7 ,Sahara Samay are losing their quality of journalism by getting in rat race of TRP.Now tune Star News

There r a junk of Hindi news channels who show wrestling/comedy and all sh.t in that. NO NEWS... I would rate Doordharsan Hindi news channel a better one.

English channels in India are equally bad. It is the indian people like Nevy who is to be blamed. Watching Hindi masala movies , Nachh baliyes , Sare ga ma pa , Saas Bahu .... etc etc which glorifies KHANDAN , VIRASAT, ASTROLOGY, PALMISTRY, and such unscientific activities are in the majority.
It requires a movement , a revolution or a civil war to change the indian mindset. The hindi/english channels are held captive by the owners loke Birlas, Dalmiyas etc etc who are the main supporters of Hindutva rising in India. Those channels are their front mans and one can get what they intend you to watch.
