Who are the real muslims? shia or sunni?

Hi i am studying 10th standard in a school, Mumbai, Andheri (East), India, 400069
my friend fatima says only Shia's are true muslims, Sunnis are not
and she cursed them that Sunni's will go to Hell when they die

are sunnis not muslims?

I'm not a Muslim but i would say Sunnis are the real ones because the Shiahs recognise an earthly authority besides the Qur'an, which is supposed to be all one could ever need.

That's like arguing that Baptists, Lutherans, Catholics, etc. are not really "Christians". Just a religious war within their own religion. Like there aren't enough people outside their religion to persecute, they need to persecute those in their own religion. Ridiculous.

hi' who ever ur ther is not like that about real muslim in islam our prohpet (saws) he met whole firqas in islam so till qyamath 72 firqas will be come.so the muslims so sunni will belive only to the prophet way which god message and shia should have the same but they will go the way of (hazrath ali) .but the shia also worhip to allah and his prophet.we sunni also doo the worships of hazrath ali.

Both sects are Muslim, but our shia brothers are a bit misguided.
They want to include something which happened after the death of Holy Prophet Muhammad, when Quran was complete and our deen was complete,as declared in Quran by Allah, into Islamic belief.

Islam was completely taught by Holy prophet Muhammad. All sunnis
believe Islam as brought by him, but shias want to add further things and since sunnis do not accetp it, they consider us as non-Muslims.
But we have instructions not to argue with them and leave them at their beliefs.

Technically speaking (in Sociology) the main body of any religion is referred to as its 'church' and any breakaway parts are 'sects'. So the old Catholic part of Christianity was its 'church' and the Protestants were a 'sect'. Ditto with Islam. The traditional part is SUNNI, the breakaway sect are SHI'I.

Obviously each will claim their beliefs are superior to the others. But don't fill your young head with such stuff, except as a matter of curiosity.

the real muslims are the sunni muslims and there is proof`to that as the sunnis were there ever since the prophet salla ALLAH alhi wa salm the shia was formed after his death i hope that the shia s one day will realize that and be real muslim and i dont hate them , i just want every body to be guided .my name is fatima too. i hope ur friend might realize that. i wish her the best oh and sunnis wont go to hell when they die, i mean not the ones who followed the prophet salla ALLAH alhi wa salm correclty and obey ALLAH and feared HIM. i hope i answered ur question. i have been to mumbai an year ago , i didnt like it , i was there in the wrong season, it was raining all the time. i didnt get a chance to get out and go to places, ah by the way i just finished the the 10th standard a few months ago.
