Do some people realy think caste system is only there in India and its stopping India's progress ?

I have seen some post about people hate caste system and thats what stoping India and so onnnn. I personaly think it is utter Bullshit.

First "Caste" is a English word in sanskrit it is "varna" means color and which is only 4 diffrent (u all know) plus Untouchable or harijan. Then its come to Clan (means discription of its past karma). Indian very strongly believe in karma so did everyone else they just not have the name karma in their religious books.

Maori (Indiginus New Zealander) draw their work of there own forfathers on there faces and on there bodypart and according to their appearance they have been treated in their society.

British Surname

FEUDAL SYSTEM was used for years in "Briton", and Scottland. Where all the people of the Government services (Rullers) used to have specific Clan or surname and they where passing it on to there children this kept on going for about 700 - 1000 years in "Briton" and "Scottland". After that Romans entered in the "Briton" they have imposed their religion (Roman Catholic) and Gailic speaking located in "london" they threw them in Current day Scottland and Ireland (They have diffrent surename an they are treated diffrently in current day UK will explain u later). Saxon and Angles entered in to country they gave name to and gave name "Angle-land" morden day "England" this people are mix of clat German and British they have diffrent names and they are treated diffrently in their own society. most of the surname starts with "Mc" are treated as untouchable till date ask some of ur good friends in London. NORWEGIANS came to England and stayed there for about 400 years till that time they were treated as untouchable and never alowed to learn gailic or english same as in India lower caste people never allowed to learn Sanskrit. They are some time called as "ginger head" or "red Head" as they were had diffrent looks generaly long face people. Nordic race - Normans diffrent race todays "Blonde" we all know how blonde are being treated. There are diffrent Nordics - French Nordic, Scandanivian Nordic, German Nordic.

Germany have diffent naming convetions as they experinced Immigration and migration- Aryan have diffrent names, Polish names Czez names, swiss, Hippy and many more. The only way to that a man kind found is by giving them surnames(caste system).

u will be surprised there is only 4 region in the whole world who dont use surnames. Tibet (chinese govt. have now introduce surname to seprate them), Kalihari tribes in South Africa, Iceland, Javanese.

The only way to change the caste or clan by doing the great karma by keeping the culture intact in the bloodtable.

U all agree maximum people who did immigration in whole world are British(mainly) or European. Its because they have always being dependent on some other states and they had very few resources in their own country. So they went outside their country and earned wealth by stealing or administration (what ever). They didnt had enough resources to divide for all level of classes they went outside and gave opportunity to all people. That didnt mean they dont believe in caste or discrimination of calt in their own society.

Indian people at least from last 5000 years on one land, I tell u it is real mother land (u bring 100 specimen of diffrent sand sample and most of the true Indian will recognise Mitti ki Sugandh, just bit exaggeration). we have been ruled by foreign rullers from last so many years and even Moghuls have used divide and rule policies. they were nailing upper caste hindus and upper caste hindu nailing lower caste. And i tell u thats what we do in our work place too not related caste but in scalar chain of organisation. Many more hindus thats why converted into Muslim or in Sikh by having thought in mind that they dont have Caste system in Sikhism and Islam. But in ISlam also Asraf, Saidi, converted muslim from lower cate hindu and from upper caste hindu (very few), Arabic muslim, Turkey muslims and many more have been treated diffrently.

SIkh which was formed because of hate rate of caste system that was actually hypocracy. I am punjabi too but my belief is diffrent -- we have niranjan, ramdasi, udasi, namdhari(plenty of sikh dont include namdhari as a real sikh). MOstly all the gurus was from khatri clan. Mazhabi, udasi (Guru nanak's own son formed new religion which was non khalsa well he tryed to but cant be succeded well).

See America more than 300 years democratic history (only system which says everyone is equal). British have more than 300 years of democratic system, Austrailia have 300 years of democracy and all people from Developed country (repeat developed) migrated to this country. In 1980 state of illinois killed a black guy because he was not allowed to join college (we after only 60 years of democracy have 30 % cota for dalit and lower class people). Till date in British history only 3 non British pm was elected. when recent PM Mr. Brown was standing

I don't know whether it's only India or other countries but I can surely can say that it's affecting India's progress. Some brilliant people are denied for jobs just because their of their low caste.Even many people
can't get a house for rent or lease just because their caste.

I dont think Caste system is affecting India's progress as the progress depends upon people. Caste system may / is still there wen Marriages r taking place as the boy or girl should b from the same caste, but 4 work / college/ society (where people live) it depends upon people but as far as i concerned i hv not come across it

there is no caste system,it was abolished a long time ago with other inhumane practices like sathi
it might still exist in rural areas but not to the extent that it was prevalent a few decades ago ...the government has made sure that the downtrodden are not left behind by making special provisions for them
