well henna is ok for colouring but it does not suit some people. for colouring effects you can put 1 or 2 tablespoonful of henna powder along with some amla and shikakai powder if available. soak it overnight and apply it for 2,3 hours . it also conditions your hair. if you want only conditioning n no colour on your hair then apply it after oiling your hair

well u just add it to ur hair as the hair dye

and the results will be really good

    it will make ur hair

    thicker
    shiny
    softer

but be careful that when u put henna on ur hair u should wait atleast two years before u dye ur hair with a dye until all the henna is gone from ur hair
because it affects the hair color after u dye it and it ruins the color and it makes it diffucult for ur hair to catch the color of the dur u r coloring ur hair with

    for example

if u make ur hair with red henna and then u dye ur hair with blond ur hair will turn into orange

    u got me

also if u make ur hair with black henna
and them try to dye ur hair with red ur hair will turn brown because the henna affected the hair color causing it to be dark because u made it with dark henna

I used henna once, but first of all you have to know it seriously smells like cow poo. I am not kidding!

The one that I bought came with instructions, basically just add boiling water and mix, apply when cool.

I was 17 when I tried it. It was fine, nothing fantastic. I've tried applying it since and couldn't go through with it because I didn't want the smell lingering on me.

Henna is a natural plant coloring and treatment for the hair. It is made from the powdered leaves of a desert shrub plant. It is best to use 100% natural and organically grown, with no pesticides, synthetic additives or artificial coloring agents. It seals in oils and tightens the hair cuticle giving your hair a rich, healthy shine.

Originally, henna was used in the one "henna" red color, but now it can be bought in shades of your preference, although it has no lightening action so the shade that you choose will depend on and must compliment your own hair color. It is usually applied as a mud and washed out after 1 to 2 hours. Its effects will last up to 3 months.

There are cultures in the Middle East, such as Turkey, that use henna ritualistically. At a certain time during the year, each year, the Muslim women all use the henna to treat and condition their year. They also put the henna on their bodies as well and their bodies are stained for a short period of time.

you can get the color of the hinna by making a paste from the powder with water ( some ppl use tea to add more color) and the result would be a reddish brown color if your hair is rather brown, if you have a dark black hair all you get is the reddish shine in the sun light (really nice) and i used to mix certain red powder with the henna it gives yiu a very beautiful red color. nowadays there is the Emirates' henna which streightens the hair and gives it color (different colors) but hte latter is put for 24hrs and then washed out and 4 hrs of oil afterwards ( perminant streightenning effect). and you can do the coloring more than once regarding regular henna with no sideeffects.

if u have grey hair the henna will "dye" only those hair , what is your original colour? If it is black it will give it a subtle reddish tinge. You can mix henna powder with tea, and an egg for a fantastic conditioner. Apply with disposable gloves(henna WILLSTAIN SKIN AND CLOTHES). Leave for 2-3hours to dry and shampoo off!

First oil your hair and while preparing henna add a full egg plus yolk of egg and 2 table spoons of yogurt and then water if needed to make it a applicable consistency
If you using as a conditioner then 15 minutes is enough and if for colour then 45 mins.
Remember henna is a drying agent so a conditioner is a must after wash
