Is it normal to feel famished after a swim?

I am a little worried and want to know if it normal to feel totally famished after a swim. I have been swimming daily for about 45 mins and I feel so hungry after that, that I just cannot help gobbling up food. Please tell me if this kind of eating after swimming is harmful and how can I overcome it.

It's just because when you swim your using pretty much all of the muscles in your body. This requires lots of energy that you get from food. Try to eat fruits before. And be sure to eat afterwards but try to make it healthy cause whats the point of doing the workout if your just going to eat your weight in food right after? This is just assuming your eating food high in the unhealthy stuff. But if you are eating healthy stuff afterwards continue but try drinking a full glass of water before. It can fill you up faster. And take slower bites. Count to 7 after you swallow. It'll give your food time to reach your stomach. If you just eat bite after bite then your stomach won't be able to keep up and will continue telling you your hungry even if your about to explode.
