What is the procedure to buy dogs from abroad into India? And where Can I get them?

I wish to buy border collies. But after a lot of searching, I could not find any breeders or dealers from India who breed/sell BCs. I came across some online sites that list border collies but they ship only in US/Eurpoe/Australia.

So from where can I get them? And what is the procedure that I/breeder/seller need to go through while getting the pet here.

Note:- I have the need for this breed and no other...I have done research about this breed. And know why they were bred. I have the same requirements and hence need one.

You know the Border Collie isn't the only herding/Working dog? Some of the other working/herding dogs come in similar colours.

Have you thought about the Scotch Collie & Shetland sheepdog & the pembroke welsh corgi & cardigan welsh corgi are also breed for herding/working! These dogs can also make good pets.

The Scotch collie is still well know for being a wonderful farm
dog, however it is more placid then other herding/working dogs& can make a wonderful pet as well. I think the scotch collie would be just a good a choice, Have a look into them, they are wonderful dogs.

The Shetland Sheepdog is another good hearding dog!

I don't recommend shipping, because it very expensive & you really don't know where the dog coming from. I would never buy a dog that i couldn't meet in person.

Have a look at breed clubs in other countries, However alot of good breeders won't allow shipping. Some may though
