Is it true !! ?? :-( -plz answer?

my dog breeder yesterday told me that all dogs, and especially the apsos have an eyesight of only 16feet range.
that is they cant see ahead of that
is it true??
wont my dog be able to see me if i m 20feet ahead of him ?

It is true that the majority of dogs (excluding sighthounds) have quite poor eyesight. Most dogs have what we call in humans "near sightedness" meaning they can see fine up-close but further away things get "blurry" no that does not mean that all of the sudden your image disappears 20feet away.

While dogs may not be able to identify a person or animal by sight, they can tell in which direction they are moving.
So they can tell a clockwise or counterclockwise movement.
They also have the ability to see at night and a facility known as eyeshine or tapetum lucidum. Which would obviously surpass a humans ability to see in the night.


Basically, at 20 feet or whatever away, your dog can still see you, just not perfectly.
