Does anyone have experience with ICICI Home loan Application taking only 3-7 days to sanction in India past yr?

Builder says ICICI/HDFC approve home loans in 1 week time maximum for NRI unlike SBI or BoB or other nationalized banks which takes 6-8 weeks, even this year Jan-April 2009 when housing tanked along with banks. Is there any fact in this statement. Any advice will be appreciated from personal experience since I am not aware of any bank in India which does it?

ya its True, Because nationalized banks check the whole details of the loan taker. Whether private banks have a good process You can Apply And Check details about ICICI Banks, Sbi bankAnd HDFC banks at that links .

If the documents are in order and your capacity to repay is fully established , the loan can be approved in 24 hours.
