Are dreams true? a sign or a premonition?

Question

I get two different kinds of dreams. most of the time they are dreams concerning my normal life-things im looking foreward to, things i want to happen with people i know-friends family. occasionally though i get a dream that just feels so real and i know theres something different about it-something supernatural happening me there leading, defending and it feels so real is it telling the future?

I believe so but depends on the interpretation I will say a few never come true but that's ok
