There are numbers of reasons why a person is not tall, and most of them do not
have any effective treatment.
Probably the commonest cause is genetic, that is to say that one or
both your parents are below average height, or that short stature runs
in your family. There is really nothing that can be done about this.
The other cause that most people know about is a deficiency of growth
hormone, which is produced by the pituitary gland situated at the base
of the brain. If a deficiency of this hormone is discovered early
enough in life, it is sometimes possible to give treatment with
injections of growth hormone to increase height. However, by the time
you get to 17 years of age, your bones may not respond to the effect
of the hormone. The only way to find out if you have this condition is
to discuss it with your doctor. Blood tests an X-rays to see how your
bones are growing can usually make the diagnosis, but for treatment
you would need referral to a specialist. These investigations should
also show if there is any other cause for your short stature.
But you should not think that it will definitely help you. Medical
science can not make you the way you want to be - and it is true not
only for height - so it's better to accept yourself as you are. Tall
people are not necessary happier than short people - look at the
tallest man in Ukraine, who was stripped of his title, lives alone
with his mother, and has constant legs pain!
The exercises they advertise on-line may increase your height
temporarily for 0,5 - 1 cm, it's hardly noticeable and does not worth
the trouble: your height varies during the day on its own.
Very occasionally, surgeons will try an operation to lengthen the
bones in the legs. This is very difficult, and takes many months or
even years, and a series of operations. It is a dreadful operation,
and I mentioned it only because you may have heard of it. Never
consider mutilating yourself for a miserable increase in height, and
be happy as you are.

    There are many ways to learn how to increase height. One of them is to stand up straight. Hunching over will only subtract inches and this will do nothing for your height problem. Having surgery isn't an option for most people either. This can be dangerous and unless it is medically necessary is honestly discouraged. While there are cosmetic surgeons that might take this on, most MD's will tell you "NO" when you ask about it except for those with scoliosis.

    Did you know that the right attitude can also make you appear taller? This is another way on how to increase height. I know of someone that was 5'6 and his attitude made him larger than life. He actually appeared to be 5'9 when he was only 5'6. Confidence will also display and make you appear to be much taller than what you are. A confident attitude does wonders not only for the body but also the soul! When you are confident, people see you as a bit taller. And who knows? Maybe your do get a bit taller with an attitude adjustment?

    Wearing the right clothes can also give you the impression of being taller. This can actually be a good idea when learning how to increase height. You might want to wear solid colors and contrast them. Avoid anything that makes you look short to the eye such as the nefarious pedal pushers or high water pants of any sort. This will just shorten you back down. Remember to also avoid pants that flare at the cuff. Believe it or not, this can also make you look shorter. Another idea is to get pants with the longest inseam. This also makes you look taller.

    These are just some general ideas when it comes to learning how to increase height. While there is not a miracle cure for increasing height, the tips mentioned in this article are known to increase your height visually. No medical advice is given in this article and a doctor must be consulted if you have scoliosis or any other type of back problem for treatment. By using these tips you can appear much taller than you actually are without resorting to lifts in the shoes or anything like that.     * ADVICE FOR HEIGHT

    Good intake of calcium daily as found in various foodstuffs like tonned milk, banana, ragi, nachni, yogurt, my favourite nachos with cheese..
    a best way i cud advice is to have milk shakes(chocolate, coffee flavoure) 2-3 times a day as an replacement for tea, coffee is a good alternative...

    Good sleep aftr exercises helps ur bones to relax and expand.. Atlest 8hrs good sleep at night...
    Remember food without exercises or exercises without food wont help you much.
    Also there are genetics n familial relationships related to height.. i.e if either ur parents are short heighted or either ur brother , sister.. than there are little chances for increase in height...BUT keep a positive attitude follow the daily regimen of food n exercises.If you goin to gym regularly, i wud advice not to perform any weight lifting exercises... stritctly NO..

    There's no way to literally increase your height.. Wear high heels, or spray your hair so it looks poofy, and you might look taller?
