It is very easy in this electronic world!

Contact HDFC or LICHFL, they will give you the format of power of attorney by mail. Just down load it and execute it in favour of some one reliable to you in Pune. Get it notarised and send it to Pune by courier.

Now the attorney can sign all papers here in Pune on your behalf. All proofs of employment and Income, you may have to send by mail to HDFC. All legal matters will be taken care by the HDFC. You pay the processing fees and pay initial advance to the seller and give proof of such advance payment.

Your loan sanctioning will happen in one week and the seller will be paid according to the stage of building. That simple and you have to make e-payment for your EMI.

it is very very difficult to sit and US and do a processing of the same in pune.

it starts with a Power of attorney ( POA) that you should have given your family member to buy a house on your name. then there is lots of interaction that takes place between builder and owner. then there is registration and checking if the house is getting built as planned. then structural changes to the house so that they can be done before the final house in place.
if you have given a POA to your family member then he can do this and also interact with the loan providers to get a good deal . but for registration you will have to be here.
you will asl need to open a NRE account so that the money will be transferred and given to to a POA
