Canon printer MP145 showing E5 error?

Question

i bought the printer 1 year ago and from last 1 week it is showing an error (color ink) E 5. Can any one tell what actually it is and how to retain it?????

It could be that the ink levels are too low!

Quote: E5-5 = The ink cartridges are not installed or a non-supported ink cartridge
is installed, or the ink cartridges are not installed properly Unquote.
Have you changed the ink cartridges lately?

Or

There is a software called MPtools for Canon. Try it.
