• Recovering pear tree?

At the moment it has a lot of moss and lichens and I was wondering if it would be OK to try pressure wash. I've also got bad pear scab so I guess I'll be doing some kind of spraying routine. I guess my main concern was timing and not stressing out the tree too much. Would like to eventually start getting some decent pears.

Sorry about the music Many thanks

  • Vegetarian and non vegetarian?

Hi, I have some friends coming to Seattle area for a visit and they want to meet up for a meal, possibly dinner Saturday or brunch Sunday. They are vegetarian and I am not. I don't mind trying a good vegetarian place but would welcome any suggestions for a nice restaurant to go to in Seattle. Thanks

  • Visit San Diego Will be in San Diego for 3 days this Thursday.?

Was wondering if there is anything apart from the usual touristy stuff that might be worth doing. I'm probably going to try avoid renting a car unless you suggest a good day trip. I'll be staying in hotel downtown. I don't tan and I'm usually a grumpy old man so cruizing chicks and suck face is not high on my list. Thanks

I am considering buying a Metropolitan Professionals ADM-4PNHSF canister vacuum and it looks like I can only get it over the internet. I would appreciate any feedback from people who have tried this vacuum. Thanks

  • Home alone?

My friends are saying I should get a dog but I am out of the house 6am-6pm. Do you think an older dog would be OK? Any suggestions? Would a cat be better? Would love to get a pet but just don't know if it would be practical or fair. And I'm not into fish or snakes or other "stuff" Thanks

  • Say what you want about me cause I don't care?

What song is this? Did a search but did not find anything. Sounds like a hip hop probably with explicid lyrics. The refrain is/sounds like "say what you want about me cause I don't care" with a quick beat to each phrase and repeated. Thanks

  • Amsterdam food and day trip?

Hi, I hope to have 3 days in Amsterdam in early January. If you know some nice places to eat, just good food for a fair price (I am spending dollars :( ) it would be much appreciated. Also any suggestions for a good day trip (possibly train) to get out to see something interesting. Thanks

  • Bacteriophage expt?

Have a friend who needs to organise some lab practicals in bacteriophage for a third level class. 2-3 3hr sessions available a week apart. Any ideas on an easy "fool proof" good experiment. Thanks

Is there something I could try that would develop my legs for running and work on the areas that spin class does not get. I was thinking of trying some swimming but this may not be practical in terms of time and location. Thanks

  • Looking for joshua radin single?

Trying to find the single "the fear you won't fall" by Joshua Radin. I don't know what the track on iTunes from the live session sounds like (I thought the chello was a bit strong on the iTunes sample). Is it the same as the single or the track on his myspace? Just to clarify I'm looking for the single version of the song... show more

  • Any good lunch spots around the uw med center with parking?

My friend has started working over there and we occassionally do lunch. It means a drive from magnolia for me. So relatively quick service is required. Not a cloth napkins and silverware kind of place. Thanks
