• Any recommendations on a type of anti-seize for a black powder revolver?

I have an Uberti 1847 Walker. Only after firing does the barrel stick to the base pin. I put a slight bend in the loading leaver trying to remove the barrel. The amount of powder does not seem to matter. 40 or 60 grains. Any less then it would not be as much fun. Anyone have a recommendation between copper or graphite based anti-seize? Or would... show more

Or would Bore Butter/Wonder lube help with such a severe sticking problem?

  • A good switchblade and a place to get one?

On September 1, of this year Texas will remove switchblades (auto knife) from the prohibited weapons. I want one. I have no real purpose for one, but I still want one. Does anyone know a good quality (for cheap) switchblade and a reputable seller? Design does not matter, the more to choose from the better. There is no knife category, so I will... show more

  • Things to do in Tennessee?

I am planning a vacation to Tennessee. Since I travel like Clark W. Griswold, I am looking for off the wall things. I am planning to go to the Patsy Cline crash site and Dixie Gun Works. So I am looking for things that are not really advertised, you know, the largest ball of twine, things like that.

  • Where in the Texas law is there a defense for killing a dog in self defense?

I have looked and looked, but can not find a defense for killing a dog in self defense. Section 9.22 is the only section that MAY allow it. As far as I know, there is none. It is not covered under 9.32 of the Penal Code (a dog is not "another"), nor under 42.092 (a domesticated dog is not a dangerous wild animal). Anyone that knows... show more

Anyone that knows where there is a defense that allows you to kill a dog in self defense I would like to know. This is for my knowledge. I do not want opinions (I have plenty of those myself), please provide the section, I do not need a link. Thanks to anyone that answers.

While looking into a question about Texas Drivers License Office (or DMV to some) I came across this: "Click here if you would like to commend an employee for their exceptional service or remarkable assistance." http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/contact.htm I got a good laugh, but made me think, this has got to be the most unused link on the net. Can anyone think of any others?

  • Why ask a question and not give a best answer?

I don't understand why people ask questions and not take the time to pick a best answer. What I've been doing is if a question will take time and effort on my part (researching the question for them) and I see that they do not give best answers, I move on and do not bother with answering them. I don't care who they pick, just take the time and pick someone. At lest thank them for taking the time. So My questions are: 1. Why be such a P.O.S. to ask someone to research something for you and not bother to thank them? 2. Would it be ethical to tell them "If you would take the time to give best answers for the person that took the time and effort to answer your question then maybe you would receive more answers"?

I have been trying to find out what crime has been committed in this case: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metr... After their 88 year old mother fell in her home, two twin brothers did not summon help. Their mother died 3 days latter. The twin brothers continued to live with the decomposing body laying in the floor for 3 months. They are charged with murder (paper states felony murder, like there is a misdemeanor murder???). Under Texas PC 19.02 they did not commit murder. Nor did they commit injury to the elderly. Sec. 22.04. The paper did not state that they assumed care or control of their mother. The neighbors say she was active. With the known facts (assuming that the paper is correct with their facts), what law has been broken? Please provide code and section.
