Why does the US have such strict immigration rules? Why can’t a Brit just fly over and get a job in a fashion boutique in Beverly Hills?
And vice versa for an American in Manchester?

Brits who have Europe as their playground,
Americans and Canadians who have the Americas and Caribbean on their doorstep, or Australians and New Zealanders who have the whole Pacific Rim to explore? Or are they all equally lucky but in different ways in terms of leisure travel?3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture2 weeks ago
If Orthodox Judaism is the real deal of the faith, why are most Jews in US,UK, Canada, Australia & EU of the reformed & progressive streams?

Which one of these small countries is best to live and work in for an American, Canadian, Australian, South African, British or EU citizen? ?
Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Macau, Brunei, The Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait or Israel?3 AnswersImmigration2 weeks ago
Dutch (EU) and British (UK) passports and citizenship, quadruple qualified and certified in UK, Australian, New Zealand and Singapore HR, a spouse from Mauritius and currently pursuing a Reform Judaism conversion that can open up Israel.
I also have a grandmother from Durban, South Africa.
Those are the cards that life gave to me and dealt to me. Nothing in The Americas however.

Given that the distance between both these two coastal resorts is only 22 miles, could or should Los Angeles and San Diego ever be amalgamated into one continuous city which goes straight to the Mexican
border?1 AnswerPolitics2 weeks ago
To reduce border crossing queues & help facilitate tourism & trade, why isn't the San Diego Trolley extended to Downtown Tijuana & Airport?

Why in San Francisco has the BART system not been extended to link up both lines together in the south via San Jose?
Why has it also not been extended in the north in a loop via San Rafael & Vallejo to link up with Richmond? Money, demand or both?
Finally, could BART realistically serve Tracy, Stockton & Sacramento, or are they too far out?1 AnswerPolitics2 weeks ago
Is it possible to get the same or a similar employment package that I have at home in The Netherlands also in the USA?
In terms of rights, entitlements and legal protections.
I work as a Senior HR Business Partner for a Dutch City Council.
Six weeks fully paid holiday, not including 10 days public holidays;
Not employed at will but on a full permanent and secure contract;
A secure job for life and not possible to get me out at all, except for significant gross misconduct or serious professional incompetence, that will lead to demotion;
Cared for and nurtured as an employee;
Strict Monday to Friday 9-5 working hours with a one hour lunch break;
A pension provided and free dental, medical and eye care tests;
Flexible working hours and the option to work from home;
An extra month's salary paid at Christmas and Easter;
No overtime required;
Fully paid learning and development courses;
Annual pay progression increments in the grade.
Can I get exactly the same, namely the above in a major company in the USA in a city like New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Boston etc that is identical to what I get here in the EU, and which works, is right for and delivers fully for me?
The main issue here is that I can't be terminated, so would never accept an at will contract of employment or a fixed term contract under any circumstances.
In addition, I also want to keep the full six weeks paid annual leave to see and explore all 50 US states.

If they cannot get into Canada & could do it, are Australia or New Zealand solutions for hard pressed people living in California? ?
Say you are down on your luck, can’t get work or on an at will contract of employment in LA, San Francisco, San Diego, Bakersfield, Fresno or Sacramento and cannot get to Vancouver, is the other side of the Pacific then the answer and solution?
More specifically Auckland, Wellington, Sydney and Brisbane?
They also have the free healthcare and up to six weeks paid holiday from the jobs where people cannot just be let go.
Why are not more people trying to make the move, or then to places such as Hawaii, Guam or American Samoa?3 AnswersPolitics4 weeks ago

Is converting to Judaism the answer to life's problems? Why don't more Americans have the interest in actively becoming Jewish themselves? ?
As it also offers an exit strategy to live and work in Israel like no other major world faith does, especially if the going starts to get a bit too hot at home in the USA. Based in the Middle East with easy access to Dubai, Singapore and Europe for holidays.
There are approximately 14.6–17.8 million Jews worldwide with 6,558,100–6,958,300 in Israel and 5,700,000–10,000,000 in the USA. Other western countries have sizable but smaller communities like Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy and Australia et al.
Given that there are a similar number of Jews like Mormons in the USA, although the USA is predominantly a Christian country, why has there never been such an interest that there would be up to 25 million US Jews or several times more there than the entire population of Israel at 9 million?5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality4 weeks ago

What’s the best way to come to terms of a life spent outside of the US in either UK, EU or NZ with holidays as a tourist as good as it gets?
The best of both worlds at all with only being able to visit the country once a year as a tourist on the visa waiver programme?2 AnswersImmigration1 month ago
US and Canada eluded me for migration, but I have:
(1) A Netherlands and UK passport;
(2) Are a triple qualified UK, New Zealand and Australian HR practitioner and member of all their respective professional bodies;
(3) Are a professional Chartered member of the Singapore, Hong Kong and South African HR bodies;
(4) Married to a Mauritian and pursuing a Reform Judaism conversion that opens up Israel.
The UK, EMEA and APAC markets and regions of the world opened up to me more, but The Americas proved more difficult.
Any reasons why?
To get to ‘The Americas’ per se, as destinations such as the British Virgin and Cayman Islands closely guard their labour markets, it would involve having to go to a developing country such as Mexico or Brazil.
Why is US immigration near impossible? If they relaxed the rules, would half the world try to push there? ?

What happens if you wake up one day and decide that you no longer wish to be on a visa but want the full and complete proper package, namely the Green Card in hand and immediately on a direct pathway to US citizenship and the blue and gold US passport to freely live and work unrestricted in all 50 US states nationwide as a born American can?
Can it be done and if so, what is the shortest possible timescale involved?5 AnswersImmigration1 month ago
