    Moody had downgraded State Bank of India and now it is on down grading spree on other banks of India. Why? It is not doing a disservice to Indian economy. The economic health and other parameters which are taken into account when you downgrade a bank are taken into account superficially. A Bank of State Bank of India standing which caters to the needs of industry and domestic is a bank which can be rescued whenever required by Reserve Bank of India. Then why this sliding down. This is not understood. The economic health of our banks and India is not as bad as may call for such a step. Is then this the right step. Why not this yardstick can be adopted for other countries' banks whose finances are in dolldrums.

    Nowadays it has become a fashion to talk about corruption. But is there any country in the world or in any age to which our imagination can go when there was no corruption at all. In all the dealings of the societies, we want to get things and that too very quickly. This calls for adopting various means to get that task accomplished. Or it may be your task may be legitimate but the system may be so tardy that that task of your cannot be accomplished without greasing somebody palm. If that task is not done on time, it may lead to much delay and consequent loss, then you are constraint to resort to ulterior ways to get that. This is also giving fillip to corruption, nothing less nothing more. Then what is the way out. How to make the society corruption free or to say it is possible to make it so. That is the motive behind asking this question. This question is not for any particular society or a country but to all right thinking ones. Let's ponder over it and see how this menace could be eradicated.

    The RBI's endeavour to arrest inflationary tendencies by raising interest rates many times over in the recent months have had no impact on limiting or reducing the inflation for which it was intended but to the contrary, it has come in the way of economical growth of the country. The cash requirement of the industry has certain factors, in which less interests on their loaned amount also counts. If it is enhanced to a level where it is not prudent because goods produced from that high interest rate amount may have to be sold at high rate. With present inflationary pressure already impacting, the propensity of the general masses to purchase goods and services produced has certain limitations. Their take home income is less and expenditure it entails is more then, there a is dilemma. Inflationary pressure is also increase in the price of petroleumumm products due to its cascading effect. And increase of interest rates periodically has really hit hard to the people who want to take home loan from the banks.
