  • Wireless router, microfilters and phone line?

I am looking for some advice and information.

I have a wireless router at home for the internet. When the router is plugged in our phone does not work - it does not ring in the house and if somebody calls the number there is no ring, the phone sounds like it has been picked up and there is static on the other end. When I disconnect the router the phone works fine.

I thought the problem was a lack of microfilters. I have since bought microfilters and fitted them to all the phone sockets in the house. This still does not help and the phone still does not work.

Do you have any ideas of what the problem might be and how this could be rectified?

    Thank you.

  • Problems with HP Pavilion ZV5368EA Laptop?

My laptop is 2 years old. It has been excellent so far but about 4 months ago it started to play up. When I am working on it it just turns off without warning (running off electricity so its not the battery). I have anti virus software installed. I sent it to HP for repair and they replaced hard drive even though they said they could not locate problem. Any ideas of what could be the problem?
