Ive seen the pws ratcheting castle nut, but it looks hard to remove (same reason I don't want to stake mine).
I know I could use locktite but I wanted to see if there are other options out there, like using 2 narrow castle nuts like jam nuts?4 AnswersHunting1 month ago
What have been you're experiences? I like it because if I don't need it, I don't use it. But from the training I've done it's always given me the edge in a confrontation, even in daylight. It's a little bit of controlled chaos I can introduce that an attacker wasn't counting on. They either focus on the light and not on me which gives me an extra second to find the advantage or they close their eyes and try to fight blind which also gives me the edge.

My G23 currently has a tlr-hl that I like because it works great as an impact point without damaging my barrel or guide rod (if I'm attacked during mag changes) it also can be used to leverage the gun back if an attacker tries to push it out of battery.
However its a pain to conceal carry and just wanted some thoughts and opinions on switching to the smaller light. The chance of it being knocked out of battery goes way up plus if caught between mags (assuming I dont have time to get the fresh mag in) id have to close the slide to muzzle thump someone but then im still left having to load and charge the pistol mid fight.3 AnswersHunting5 months ago
I switched from 180gr back to 165gr (same company, style and caliber of bullet) and wanted to know if the only difference is the size of the bullet. if the powder changed according to the bullet weight then it makes sense. If the powder charge stays the same, then either 165 is a good round while the 180 is underpowered or the 180 is the more suitable round and the 165 is being pushed to fast.
whats the deal?7 AnswersHunting6 months ago
Level 4 is some of the toughest stuff out there, it's also the heaviest. This could be a pro in that there is more mass to help dissipate energy of smaller rounds but the weight, the rest of the time your not being shot, would be rough.
There's lightweight 3a armor which wears more easily, but with less mass each round that connects will deal massive damage. Not to mention the fact that higher velocity rounds will punch clean through it.
the plates in question will be curved 11x14 AR500 plates.1 AnswerMilitary6 months ago
Why do we have a system where people, with no experience in a field, can out vote people who have knowledge?
It seems silly that a gun grabber can vote to disarm a law abiding citizen. It's crazy that a random guy can cast a vote and make abortion illegal for a young woman who can't take care of a kid. If he was willing to adopt it, I could understand but that has happened zero times. GM can cast a few votes to slow the progress of electric cars. Exxon can out vote the EPA when it comes to environmental protections. Incels get to vote against gay marriage, as though a same sex relationship has any impact on their life.
How much longer can the bulk of the world watch it all burn just so a few people don't have to feel bad or have to live on an income of less than 20 million a year?9 AnswersPolitics7 months ago
If murder is another name for abortion, what's another name for forcing a child into a home where it's not wanted?
This is a statement I heard recently and just wanted to know what the alternative is. Another name for forcing a child into a bad my living situation where they're not wanted or loved? Where they're bounced from home to home at the risk of abuse and neglect?
Or does forced motherhood/parenthood remedy these types of things?6 AnswersPolitics7 months ago
I know the big companies like franklin with the bfs3 and the fostech echo 2 but is there anyone else? looking to finish off a 300blk build before the bans go into effect.

I have a take down bow and I'm looking for a way to install a peep sight in the string so it doesn't shift when I remove the string. The position of the sight doesn't really matter because I have a release loop, and when ever I lock onto it and draw, the sight spins and lines up straight. It's the vertical shift and aligning the strings to stay in the grooves of the peep that I'm trying to fix.
The peep in using is the micro string splitter.1 AnswerHunting8 months ago
