  • What's my rights when police came base on somebody reported as suspicious activity?

Neighbor don't have vehicle and ask me to take them to a specialty doctor at downtown.

When I got to downtown I parked at parking building. She walked to tall building doctor office at next to parking building.

Next I went to downtown and take a walk. I just stay on sidewalk and walk around for 4 hours. One of business got suspicious and call police because I been on sidewalk and been walking back and forth for 4 hours on public sidewalk.

Police arrived, asking what I am doing. I told them I am taking neighborhood to doctor and I been waiting 4 hours. And I want have some exercise. Police asking what their name and who is doctor. Police went into doctor office to get my story verify then police say ok have a nice day.

I told police this person having emergency medical reason and sometimes it take long time before able get released by doctor.

Now what's my rights? I felt I shouldn't even tell them my reason for being there. And there is no need for police to go to doctor office and asking if I am one who taking them there and waiting.

Can't police tell whoever reported from one of business retail or service to mind their own business, it's not illegal to stand around on heavy traffic sidewalk.

  • Why police doesn't pull me over in middle crowded of bikers?

While I was driving, police noticed I was driving off the lane little bit because I was following on dash navigation system to find ice cream place which why I slowed down in middle of road.

Police suspected I maybe intoxicated while driving. Police started to go behind me to follow but I end up found ice cream place.

Next I waited 20 minutes at long line because there's over 40 bikers black coat was getting ice cream too. There is crowded of motorcycles parking at that ice cream place.

Police next parked at another business property across the street. I thought police maybe waiting for somebody who did speeding on road. After I got ice cream, it take me another 15 minutes to finish my ice cream.

After I left ice cream, police started to follow me then pull me over with light right away.

Police give me sober test and I passed the test. Police asking why driving like drunk, I explained I was trying find directions and got confused.

Next police say I'm good to go. Police say if that ice cream place is empty then he would pull me over and give me sober test right there but didn't because of the crowded of bikers so they waited until I'm leaving and all alone.

I mean bikers maybe watching and laughing at me with cop but I don't care. I might laughing with them and say whoa yeah I pass the test.

  • What's crime rate would if it's 100 instead when 8 percent of all human is criminal felony conviction?

In my city, 8 percent of all population is felony convicted, which are responsible for 40 percent of all crimes happening in my city.

Here is break down statistic in one year:

    Murder 1

    Rape 33

    Vehicle Theft 66

    Burglary 44

    Assault 88

    Shoplifting 188

Now those crimes 40 percent of it is from ex convicted felons which only 8 percent of all population in this city. Meaning 60 percent of crimes are from 92 percent of population who has clean background check.

So what crime rate would be in my city if all 100 percent of all people are felons convicted?

Trying to get an idea what's odd crimes rate if city don't have any population who has clean records.

  • How to protect myself without asking too many questions?

Some situation when we were new for job or at school, even organizations. They give us a rules and laws. Like what we can do or can't do. What is legal and what is illegal.

However often I asking too many questions just to be sure I won't get in trouble if something came up force me to break law.

Most people don't even think about "what if" situation.

So I can listen to rules and law but how can I make sure it's all clear not confusing and what to do when situations popped up and wanna be sure won't be accused of crime.

Here is example make it simple way what I meant.

Let say boss told us as a new employee law/rules working at zoo. if you see bird with huge feathers walk by, don't pet or touch them.

My first thought what if this bird happened bump into us, or fly over to us and landed on my shoulder. They say just walk away from bird. Then I say what if bird chasing me how can I get away without endangering everybody at zoo? Cuz rules say no running at zoo.

However most of my class mates don't asking anything, they just say ok yes sir.

Example: teacher say if you see bird with huge feathers walk by, don't pet or touch them.

My first thought what if this bird happened bump into us, or fly over to us and landed on my shoulder. Teacher say just walk away from bird. Then I say what if bird chasing me how can I get away without leaving the whole class mates? Cuz your rule is not ever leave the group to be alone.

So what do you think? Is it neccessary to ask many question? Or don't ask?

I just wanna be sure it's all clear so I won't get in trouble and trying to stop the confusion.

  • How probation/parole officers ensure every clients will get job after they get lay off due to COVID-19?

Last April, governors in some state decided to shut down restaurant/school/retails store because of coronavirus.

Now I'm wondering how parole and probation gonna force every clients to find a job if they got lay off because companies closed.

Image millions got unemployed over night. Meaning each officers will have long list of their clients not have a job.

Now how they gonna force every clients to get another job without volition the probation or parole? After governor shut down businesses then likely who got lay off maybe can't find job within for next 6 months at least.

Impossible have room in jail/prison to place every clients to lock them in for violation all because they got lay off and yet there is no job out there for anybody to find.

  • Why police doesn't act as being mediator or peacemaker?

Normally when conflicted between two parties, often police avoid being mediator. All police do is tell first one to wait here then tell 2nd to go over there far away from others.

Next police gonna ask one of them what happening and why call police. After explaining to police, police just gonna say ok here is statement to make police report. That report will go to police departments file. Next tell another party to stay away from them and do not come back ever.

The most advice police gonna say well contact with attorney or supervisor or whoever responsible for what happened.

If see scene result from crime, either ticket or make arrest.

Sometime I came home angry because got into conflicts with friend, my roommate say see I don't trust them. I ask them how you know, he say he judge by using STEREOTYPE.

Me and my roommate is same age. Except I am straight, he is gay. Or maybe gay people are better with judging people most of time?

  • Why court doesn't allow question of victim's motivation to get defendant in trouble?

Let supposed neighbor having fence wall higher than legal limit. However person live next door doesn't bother to sue homeowner because they don't care about fence.

Now homeowner had son moved in with him. His son being flirting with neighbor's daughter.

Now father that live next door got very upsetting over this and want homeowner to get in trouble. Can't find anything except fence wall is too tall.

Next he sue neighbor for fence too tall by couple of feet higher than legal limit.

When having trial, why judge won't allow defendant's attorney asking victim. "Is this why you sue my client is only because he been flirting your daughter and you got upset and trying get my client in trouble for having wall too tall?

I mean if allow into discussion of motivation it would help get less trial and less overcrowded in court because people would be too embarrassed if must answer what their excuse to get somebody in trouble.

  • How sex crimes trial will be different if Michael Jackson aren't famous?

Just image how situation will be done for any average victims and defendants?

Suppose the story of what happening at Michael Jackson home all the same except he is not rich and famous and live in average size home.

What likely gonna happen? Prosecutors maybe will say not enough evidence? Or Michael Jackson will be found guilty because couldn't afford best attorney?

I mean we all knows the real reason why Michael Jackson case aren't normal because prosecutor/police want get attention and their own public personal gain from media, sevond Michael Jackson can afford lawyers to get him found not guilty.

  • Why lawyers always advised make a deal to avoid trial?

My problem is there is some information we like to get from witnesses or victims and we won't get any if we don't go to trial but made a deal.

However defense lawyers often not interesting in trying to get valuable personal information about how or why it it was being brought to court if knew something off the issues leading into this situation.

Me personally I would want to see all the reason and what cause the problem leading into court.

That way we can questioning victims or witnesses all the reason and detailing and their own personal feeling which leading discrimination which why got into legal action.

Example: is that why you sue us for having our fence measurement higher than legal limit to be all because my son flirted your daughter? Because before my son live with me, you never complained about my wall being higher than it allowed to be for long time.
