Ever since I can remember, I always felt a sense of disconnect from my birth name (which isn't Queenie, by the way). It always felt wrong on me. When I was 13-14, I started hating it intensely, due to how common it is, the fact that my dad and I have the same initials, the way it sounded and that it can't be shortened.
I want to get it legally changed, as my school requires that students are called their legal names. I also don't ever want to see it ever again, it makes me sick. I'm not sure how to approach my parents about this.
BTW, I've been using Queenie for 3 years now.2 AnswersFamily5 months ago
