I came across a site like this ages ago, but didn't freakin bookmark it!
You could add links to things you find under one URL, then hand out that one URL to your friends so they could see all the links you have added there. It would be really handy to have. I found it via stumbleupon and was sure I favorited it, but then couldn't find it!
Anyone know what the hell I'm banging on about?1 AnswerComputer Networking1 decade ago
It is stating that I have 5 days to do so now. I thought this was free? I am pretty sure I did not d\load the trial of the Pro edition - I made sure of it when I first got it as I have made that mistake before with other Proggies.
Has anyone seen this or think that perhaps I did get the wrong one? Or is it normal for this to happen then it just reverts to the basic free edition after the "trial" period or whatever has elapsed?6 AnswersSecurity1 decade ago
I have just bought an XBox 360. It is secondhand. I connected directly to the Modem\Router (Belkin F5D8636-4 v1) with an ethernet cable.
All ports on router that I got from xbox.com have been forwarded -
* TCP 80
* UDP 88
* UDP 3074
* TCP 3074
* UDP 53
* TCP 53
It will successfully find the network and connect to the internet, but Xbox live will not let me connect with the above error.
ISP Provider: Internode
I can successfully connect and surf the internet with my PC and laptop.
I called a friend of mine who has one and he was connected as we spoke, in the middle of a game.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I had a thought that it could possibly be a banned serial? Although I am not notified as such on the screen, which I believe is what is supposed to happen.3 AnswersXbox1 decade ago
The right arrow key works fine. A USB external keyboard works fine.
They didn't work before I restored to Factory Default and they don't work now. I have set the BIOS to default. At some point they did work (not my lappy, so not sure how long ago), but a factory restore should have set things right? Unless an MS update went through before I tried them that stuffed it up?
Short of flashing the BIOS (which I am not keen on doing nor do I have the means), I'm not sure where to go from here. I've googled till the cows came home and got nothin.

I was given a small fish bowl for Kris Kringle and would like to get a little pet for it. I do NOT want a fish though. No time to change so much water and it can get smelly. A little water isn't so bad, but not as much as a fish would need.
I need something easy to take care of that needs little maintenance. It was suggested to get a hermit crab, but they look like they can grow quite big.
Bowl is one of those round astronaut helmet shaped ones. About 20cm's to 25cm's across at its widest point.

I have 2 seperate Hard Drives with 2 different OS's installed
Main OS - XP Pro and is set as priority boot in BIOS
2nd OS (on a differemt hard drive) - Windows 7 Beta Build 7000 test
I know it doesn't matter what the OS's are, but just for info sake and to slake the curiosity of my fellow geeks.
I have tried -
*Gag - only found my recovery partition on the Xp Drive (WTF?) Found Win 7 fine. Even found my third storage disc that doesn't have an OS, but not the Active XP partition!
*XOSL - Didn't even install. Tis pretty old.
*GRUB - Can't even figure this out? I know my sh*t when it comes to PC's usually, but I am not really sure what to do with this?
*OSL2000 - This worked great, but its shareware (costs). I'm only gonna use this once for a short period probably, so no.
*rEFIt - About to give it a go,but don't like my chances. Looks very MAC oriented.
So - don't wanna pay; want an easy no bullcrap install. Normally my curious geeky side likes to explore, but I have a newborn and, being as gorgeous as she is, she likes to discuss political matters between 2 and 4am, so I am rather tired.

If I have the one wireless 3G connection device, can 2 laptops\PC's connect to it at the same time, in the same manner as an 802.11 Wi-Fi network?
I get the impression that you need a 3G enabled router, but that would defeat the purpose, seeing as you are stuck at home in this instance and 3G's reason for being is mobile freedom (log in anywhere).
And, of course, if you had a setup similar to Wi-Fi, then each machine would need a 3G enable card\USB stick, which again defeats the purpose. Just trying to get some perspective on if this is even possible?2 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade ago
I want to downgrade my wife's laptop to XP Pro from Vista as it's too resource hungry for the celeron she's got. The laptop has no recovery disc. I have XP Pro that would normally go on a desktop. Will it still run on a laptop? I am guessing it will automatically find the drivers for the Touchpad mouse and the Wireless side of it, but just need clarification.
I'm more concerned about the running on battery\running on AC side of it. Is it still gonna know the difference?5 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade ago
I have just built a computer and when I go to the drive list list there is a floppy drive listed there. The thing is, I don't have one installed. I don't believe it's doing any harm, it's just annoying. Not sure how to get rid of it?
Thanks.1 AnswerOther - Hardware1 decade ago
