Greta Thunberg just proposed that we need to stop all CO2 emission right now entirely. Why is anyone listening to this child?

The result of what she is saying would cause world-wide starvation and the end of society instantly. I am not being hyperbolic here.  Why would the left put up a child to yell at adults and suggest solutions that would entirely destroy society?

I’m located in Tennessee, looking at an online Penn Foster Vet Tech degree. I’ve already called lots of local veterinary offices, and they all said that they accept online degrees. I rather do an online college than a local campus, because I barely went to high school because it was public/on campus. I feel like I concentrate and make better grades when it’s an online course & Im not around others.  It’s four semesters - up to 12 months to complete each semester. Each semester costs $59 a month for 28 months to pay it off. It’s all work at your own pace. You can add 6 month extensions for $90 if anything happens in life that may put me behind. The monthly payment includes all school related materials, except for what ever electronic device you use to complete the course. Plus side is I can do work from my cellphone, so if I’m spending tome with family or on a long car ride, I can do a couple lessons.  I currently work 40hrs a week at a factory as pre-management making $13.50, so if I got this degree I’d be making a minimum of $3 more, average is $6, plus many local vet clinics only work 35 or so hours. I’ve loved animals ever since I was a child, and I’ve always wanted to pursue a career in an animal related field. I really don’t see myself being at this factory for more than a couple more years at most - unwillingly. I really don’t enjoy my time spent here, and I rather spend my time doing something I enjoy.  (Continued in comments)

Am I bad for switching my vote to Republican?

Young people vote democrat until they inherit a large fortune from their parents too and then they'll see how lazy democrats are. That is life.

Why do racist organizations like the KKK and Nazi movement vote republican?

Historically speaking, democrats were slave traders. I know that goes back, way back to a couple of hundred of years, but what has changed since then that these racists overwhelming support the Republican party today?

So the situation is that I'm a 33-year-old accountant that is not particularly comfortable communicating with women casually. Professionally, I am, but socially/casually, I'm not. I understand it's very late in my life to attend to this issue but better late than never.I want to do something about it and I understand that it will take time. So I thought that working at a clothing store, in the weekends, where I face women consistently, where I can small talk, would be the best place to start However, I'm not sure if this is a good or a bad idea because the extent of an interaction at a clothing store might never get past a small talk. But, maybe, initially to get rid of my nerves, this might be a good thing. I wanted to gather your opinions and see what you guys think. I thought about working at a casual fine dining restaurant, but I'm not good-looking by society's standards and I'm not big either. So that's out of the picture. Is working at a clothing store a good start to remove some nerves ?
