  • Why is pedophilia so common among gay men?

Out of the 5,800,000 total victims (about 1/20 male children will go through sexual abuse as a kid) 96 percent were male on male. That's roughly 5,500,000. Best case scenario, 3 percent of the population is roughly 10,000,000 people. You could also flip a coin and that gay person will turn out to be a pedophile or sexual abuse a minor in their life time. Do gays have messed up brains or something? They have way, way, way more sexual partners on average than heterosexual people, and they're also 7 times more likely to manifest symptoms of borderline personality disorder, and 6 times more likely to manifest OCD symptoms than the general population. And don't say they're born gay. Sure, they have different brain scans, but so do meth addicts, and meth addicts weren't born meth addicts. I'm not worried about gays because of any religious or traditional reasons, but surely they would benefit from treatment

My whole life I have had severe social anxiety and I tried working as a Casheir at a fast food place to overcome it, however I am still extremely socially awkward and had a hard time there although I tried my very best. I would like a job more fitting for someone like me, where I can grow but also not be overwhelmed by the anxiety. I want to grow my customer service skills, but working in fast food made me realize I shouldn't be working there if I can't even raise my voice enough for customers to hear me (because it's so noisy there). I think a pet store, or a flower shop would be much quieter, and I love nature. I like flowers, but honestly I'm not very educated about them. Do flower shops train you properly to do your job, and is it a generally low-stress environment? I don't know what to expect or how difficult it may be, but I love flowers/nature and consider myself a very nuturing/gentle person. I actually had a dream last night that I was working in a flower shop, and made me wonder if that's where I should be.

Also compliments/negative remarks is about fifty-fifty. I don't have insecurity issues. Why? Because I'm not used to hearing positive things all the time. Which keeps things down to earth. Hearing negative comments is what I'm just as used to.

You on the other hand: for every 15 compliments you get to hear 1 crappy one. After such a streak that tears your ego apart. Accept that there are people out there who don't think you're all that.

I'm a junior in college, an undergrad in psychology. In my forensic psych class this semester on the topic of sex offenders a flood of repressed memories came back to me. I was 11, my brother 12 or 13 around the time. He infrequently sexually assaulted me. Blackmailing me to do what he said whenever something came up that I could get in trouble for.. When we shared a bed with company over he pulled down my pants and underwear and I woke up to him trying to insert himself into my anus. Things of that nature. I learned in class that a large number of sex offenders start when they are very young. Sibling abuse isn't uncommon among it. I. I just always felt so dirty going along with it. And learning that it's an actual thing brings me to tears. Should I even tell my mom about this? I don't know if she'd even believe me. But it keeps weighing on my mind and I can't stop thinking about it. And my brother and I get along fine, for the most part now. I don't even know if he understands what he did then is considered sexual abuse. I don't know what I should do, and it's really scary.

Best answer: Yes, you can fall in love with someone without physically seeing them, but you would truthfully, have to get to know the person. Also, you must know the difference between attraction, infatuation, and true love.

Attraction is based on what you see. Infatuation is based on how you feel at that time, but real love is based on what you know about the person and it will grow when two people are kind, hardworking and share the same spiritual outlook.

I've attached a link to a very enjoyabe whiteboard animation presentation entitled: Is it Love or Infatuation? I hope you enjoy!

  • What would you think of me?

In high school, I wore hello kitty and pink or bright colors everyday. I didn't have many friends and always had Disney stuff like on pencils and backpacks. If you saw me eating lunch alone? If you were a guy, would you think i was odd? :/

I wasn’t always ugly and I don’t really know how this happened to me and it has been a major concern to me for quite some time now as I am a self-concious person. I’ve eaten the same foods as my parents and siblings, excercised, tried to get lots of sleep (mostly 3 or 6 hours only), slept with a misting fan on to moisturise my face. But I still turned out the most ugliest in my family. And to make things worse, the hairdressers make it a priority to ensure I stay ugly by either giving me a bad haircut despite giving them instructions how I want my haircut, or by making no attempt to pick out a matching haircut for my face (most of them make no attempt!) I’ve been called ugly by many women, I’ve been called ugly and a freak atleast 5 times at my new job and the people at my new job have been avoiding me. What am I supposed to do? Where do the ugly people in society end up? How can I improve my appearance?

  • Does it make me a psychopath if I simply don't care about anyone's feelings?

Best answer: That one thing alone doesn't make you a psychopath. Lack of empathy is one trait among many for psychopaths. It could be that you're just a rather insensitive person, possibly a little misanthropic or just simply tired of all the bs and drama around you.
