There small rodent prey move on trails and their urine is visible in ultraviolet, so it helps the hawks find the rodents by looking along the trails. It is extremely advantageous for them. That is just one example. I know with certain flowers and fruits, they have a pattern in ultraviolet that helps the animal find them which is advantageous for both plant and animal. Here is a picture I took last weekend of a sparrowhawk that caught a lizard. I don't know seeing in ultraviolet helped the hawk in this instance but at least it shows the hawk I was referring to.

Best answer: A cow has an udder (not "utters") and she develops the ability to give milk during pregnancy.

The production doesn't really begin until the calf begins feeding, though, or hand-milking can be used as a substitute to stimulate milk production After that, she will continue to give milk for 10 months or so, as long as she is regularly milked.

So, more or less, milk in the udder means the pregnancy is over.
