When I plugged the hard drive into my laptop and tried to start going through the data, it won't let me see anything. Most of the folders are empty, which worries me, but there is one huge file, that I am hoping has everything on it. Can anyone tell me how I can get access to that? Do I need to somehow convert the files? If you need more info let me know, thanks :)

In my experience using Windows 10 since the first betas that came out in late 2014, even on unsupported computers, Windows 10 has been pretty reliable for me. The major issue I did have was last year with the creators update. I would get a black screen upon logging in. This happened on my desktop and laptop. It turns out it was an issue with an iTunes service. I disabled it through Safe mode and it worked fine after that.

Without trying to sound mean or rude, most of the "issues" you're worried about are BS. I will admit the mandatory updates are kind of annoying, but they usually aren't too bad. If you get the Pro/Enterprise/Education version of Windows 10, you can indefinitely defer upgrades.

And how many more times are you going to ask this question? You've asked something similar to this at least once already.

  • Do you guys think AI robots will ever really be self aware?

Best answer: That depends upon what you mean by human consciousness. Many have said that the human brain is nothing but a complex computer, which would mean that our much touted self-awareness is anything but. If that is the case, programming an artificial intelligence to behave as though it were self-aware would be sufficient.

It does not mean the overall "thing" is a computer.

It's like many things contain electric motors - it does not mean the device is called a motor.
A microwave over contains one or more motors, but you don't use is _as_ a motor.

Whether an embedded CPU or a motor, if it's a "hidden" function then it's irrelevant to what you call the thing.
(That's what embedded means - buried or hidden).

To use another example of that - you have a heart in your body; but if someone tried to tell you that you _were_ "a heart", rather than that your body contains a heart, you would think they were being daft. Your heart is an "embedded part" of your overall body, not what you are.

Same thing with items that internally use a small computer but those are a hidden part. A TV is a TV.

To be classed as a computer, you must be able to send any instructions you want to the computer and get results back from that; you must be able to program to do things you want, if you wish to.

eg. Smartphones are computers; you can if you want write your own programs and interact with them.

A refrigerator or DVD player is not "A Computer" no matter how many CPUs it contains.

For your examples, a player piano is no more a computer than a simple timeswitch is. "Blindly" following a set sequence or program does not make something a computer, even if you can use different programs.

By definition, a computer must be able to make choices of what parts of it's program it follows.

That's all relating to Digital computers.

  • Will someone know if I watch their LIVE video, even after it has been posted for weeks?

  • Can we know who?

Best answer: There is no official way to know if someone is looking at your FB or IG profile. Any app/site that claims to tell you is fake and a scam.
If someone watches your IG story, then I believe it will show who watches it but there are ways to prevent that from showing up.

  • Wifi router and modem, do I need a cable company?

Best answer: Yes, you still need bandwidth, and that is what your ISP (Can be a cable company, or phone company, etc..) provides.

I own my own modem/router but still have to buy the bandwidth. But at least I don't have to rent their equipment.

Cleared flash, disk clean up, etc. I have tried different browsers, incognito, Hardware accelerator, nothing helps. Even did system check repair, I can watch videos in other sites but not this one and can't figure out why. Was wondering if someone can help to figure out what I haven't thought to try yet.
