• Whats a cmd dot exe file?

Best answer: Whatever you do, sir, do NOT open the file. There is every chance that it could infect your computer with a virus, botnet, worm, trojan, or other form of malware. It MAY even give the sender access to your computer and all of its contents.

I am the administrator of the family computer. I need to see what my kids are doing online. How can I access their user profiles without their passwords? I have valid concerns about what they are viewing and what s in their history. I tried trusting them to be responsible online and they let me down

Some other things you can do to limit the possibility of compromise

    1) Bank with computers that aren't running Microsoft Windows better to use Linux Android or Mac OS X or FreeBSD most malware (not all of it) is written specifically for Windows because that's what the heard and the masses run so crooks and hackers write malware accordingly

    2) Change your password frequently every month or a couple of weeks (not easy to guess)

    3) Watch your statements and recent transactions if something feels wrong contact your
    bank

    4) Keep your computer operating system and web browser up to date with the latest fixes

    5) Clear your browser and make sure your logged out after your session is finished.

BTW it's not just online banking you have to be careful about ATM machines aren't any better you can get compromised if your not careful whenever in doubt and something doesn't look or feel right go to a bank teller instead safer!

  • Is there a way to remove MS Defender? I'd rather have something else, like Norton, McAfee, or another anti-virus.?

Best answer: You can't remove it.

Just install the anti-virus program, and Windows will disable MS Defender and use yours instead.

BTW, both Norton and McAfee suck. Use something like AVG or Avast. Both are far better and are free for home users.

So almost six months ago I fell for a technical scam and oddly enough he pulled up the camera app on my laptop. He kept it open for a good 8 seconds but I bent over so he couldn’t see me. I also put my hand over the camera. He ran these “codes” that where supposedly fixing the problem. I feel now like he has a back door into my computer and can see some very damaging and strange videos of me that I have done. Some quite personal some less personal. And keep in mind that this happened over 5 months ago, I’ve ran all my antivirus things (Norton Antivirus and Malwarebytes) and they all show up clean. Should I continuously worry about this or just drop the subject and move on. Anything helps thanks! -ADAM
