Could this text be misinterpreted as a statement and that's why i didn't get a reply?

Yesterday i texted a friend this:

"Hey girlywirly 😊 i feel loads better now x"

It was just a friendly greeting before i was gonna text her a question. But i never got chance to even ask the question cos she read the above text and never replied. I was gutted at the time and my anxiety made me overthink but now i think she maybe misinterpreted it as a statement? She never ever replies to statements, she doesn't even like texting unless I'm asking her a direct question. When we do text she asks questions but never makes statements. Does my text look like a statement or is it clearly an invitation to talk?

What would you do if you suspect your boyfriend was sexually abused?

I have a boyfriend I adore. I suspect he was sexually abused a few years ago through a comment he let slip once. I haven't asked and thought he'd bring it up later. I tried once to talk about his relationship with the person I suspected (his former stepfather), but he shut down and left it at that. Every time he turns me down for sex (not always), I feel rejected. If it has anything to do with his past, it would be nice to know, so I won't think it was me. There's no way rape could change my view of him or my sexual attraction to him. In fact, I'd much rather be told so I might know when he's having a hard time or if something is going to trigger him.

It's been almost a year since we are seeing each other, and he still hasn't brought it up. If my deduction is correct, he was assaulted when he was 21 by his mother's then-new husband. His mother has since divorced the guy and has no contact with him. I don't think she knows about the rape, but I'm not 100 per cent sure.

What would you do if you were me? Would you have it out with him? Would you try to talk to his mother? Would you book an appointment with a therapist and let the latter talk to him?

Should I pay for her coffee as well? ?

I am meeting a friend of mine for coffee tomorrow and I am unsure about etiquette when it comes to such things. While it's entirely platonic instead of being a "formal" date, part of me still believes the guy should pay, or at least offer to pay, as I am the one who asked her to coffee. On the other hand, I worry that paying for her order may make things awkward if she doesn't view it as a "date."

So it's either not pay and come off as a tightwad and a jerk, or do pay and possibly make things slightly awkward. You can probably tell I don't get out much.

Does it bother you to see ither guys changing underwear in the locker room?

I can't stand not changing after a workout. I usually go after work and go straight to bed when I'm done without showering (gym showers are down because of COVID). I don't have a very masculine appearance (though I am toned) so I'm worried I might look like a creep. I try to hurry and stay out of sight, but I still feel bad. I don't want to see any of that, yet I'm guilty of it myself. What do you guys think? Should I just suck it up and wait till I get home? Or is it not that big a deal?

I can’t let go of what my friend did in the past. What should I do? ?

I’m still upset at her for shoplifting and screwing up! I know she learned her lesson but she is one of the most loyal friends ever and usually the one that tells us to do the right thing most of the time but there she goes shoplifting! This was three years and she told me, “Layla get over it! I made a mistake. I’ve learned my lesson but the problem is that you won’t let the past go. Get over it already!!! Even loyal people screw up sometimes.”

    I’m still mad at her.

If "everyone" likes you, does that mean you're a fake? ?

I was at work today and overheard two co-workers talking about another co-worker in a different department. One of them said she has a real "soft spot" for this guy and the other agreed, saying "everyone does."

As I said, he works in another department and I barely know him, but I got to thinking, if "everyone" you know likes you, doesn't that mean you're probably pretty fake? It seems virtually impossible to have "everyone" like you.

Why do people think that I'm a pervert and a pedo and insane for thinking that an 17 year old girl is cute ?

So there is this cute vietnamese singer from vietnam who I have followed since 2013. She is a teen and I acknowledge that she is a teen but sometimes deep down inside I think she's cute. I've told my friends before that I think she is cute and stuff and they all got grossed out by me because of some stuff I said. I told them that I wished that I had a daughter as hot as her. There's just something about her that makes me wished I had a daughter like her. I feel like it could be because I'm 29 and I want to be a father to a daughter or something. I just can't help stop thinking that she is cute. I'm thinking about going to see her in concert one day and my friends told me that they don't want to have anything to do with it. They called me gross and disgusting. Why do they think that I'm gross for thinking that a 17 year old is cute ?? What is wrong with liking her ?? Why is it wrong to wish that she is your daughter ??

Was this a rude thing to say?

My girlfriend was complaining to me about her sister and then I said ''would this matter a 100 years from now?''. So she thought I was being rude and dismissive.

Was I being a jerk towards this customer?

    Favourite answer:

I don't think it works the way these anti-maskers hope. They still aren't allowed into the store without a mask. Many businesses offer to accommodate such customers in some way that doesn't put employees and other customers at greater risk. For example offer to deliver the customer's items to him/her at curbside or at the door. You did the right thing to refuse admittance without nose and mouth covering.

BTW, there is no official exempt status for anyone. The consensus among medical professionals is that if your respiratory health is so bad you can't wear a mask for a few hours then you're very vulnerable to covid and shouldn't be out shopping at all, mask or no mask.

Is there anything risque about me being topless in my Facebook profile picture?

Is there anything controversial about a male being shirtless in his Facebook profile picture?

Is it something his employer would frown upon ? Or does the content of a personal social media account not raise concern unless the Facebook user has criminal or illegally suggestive content on their page ? ( Such as posing with a firearm or drugs)

Would my senior aged relatives - Mom , grandmother , aunts/uncle's etc feel that my picture is inappropriate ?

Why do people have these mask conflicts with shouting and killing, shooting were all one Tribe ?

Saturday a lady asked me why I cover my mouth, not my nose I told her my glasses to fog up and I breathe through both mouth and nose I can't cover up both. talked clam and cool, relaxed explained to her at the Laundry Mat.

No angry response and all was said So why do some people take it to overkill when someone wears a mask over mouth, not the nose. and doesn't wear a mask either I mean you should at least when entering a store but why do shoppers some wanna be the Enforcement of Covid-19

Can upstairs neighbors hear me having sex?

I live in a basement apartment and my neighbors kids are above me head...

Do you think theyd hear me have sex?? My bed is on a frame with no headboard-- so there won't be any banging or creaking noises. I also once asked if they ever heard my music and they said only 1x or 2x the sound but none of the words or really the beat.

I also can't hear them, only when they're banging, screaming, or vacuuming. But never talking or normal walking etc

So if I play music and we dont scream, do you think they'll hear us?
