  • Why does my car battery terminal keeps oxidizing?

The positive terminal keeps turning white or light blue color, and needs to be scrapped off every week or so. I tried sanding it but it keeps turning white blue color with chalk-like deposits. Whats the reason and solution to prevent oxidization ?

  • No floor under engine?

Best answer: The only "floor" you might see is an Underbody shield, sometimes called an Engine Splash Shield or various other names.

Some cars have them, others don't. Not that big of deal.

  • Could a small airplane (Piper Cub, ETC.) that has a take off speed of 50 MPH, take off flying backwards if heading into a 60 MPH headwind?

Best answer: The plane will fly forward at 50MPH, but the air it’s flying through is moving backwards at 60MPH, so the plane will move 10MPH backwards over the ground.

I can’t apply for loans or anything without unfreezing my credit. Anyways, I talked to the finance manager about a car I really liked and I test drove it and everything. I basically signed the paper to buy the car and filled out all the information and signed it but they never secured financing. They haven’t pulled my credit because I told them I would unlock it in the morning since I couldn’t do it on a Sunday. Am I stuck with buying the car since I signed the paper to buy it? Again, like I said, they never got a deposit, never secured a loan and never even tried to pull a loan out since it’s locked.

  • Car won't start?

Jump starting it didn't work. Gas is full. The radio turns on and so does the ac and the headlights are very dim. And when I lock the car it used to honk the horn but now it's a low unrecognizable sound. Is it the battery or starter or ignition switch?

I drive a 2016 silver corolla, and I get it waxed a couple of times a year, yet there’s some patches of what looks like “white dust” that I can wipe off with my finger. If I get my car waxed, and it’s a pretty new car, why does this happen?

You obviously have an air pocket in the cooling system even though you filled it. Did you run the motor for 15 minutes as you were topping the coolant up?
Did you take the radiator cap off or just pour coolant in the reservoir tank?
The temperature gauge will not be accurate with an air pocket in the cooling system and you will over heat the motor with out knowing it.
Run the motor for 15 minutes with the radiator cap off and add coolant as the air bubbles come out the radiator neck. Once you do that I'd drive it straight to a mechanic to have the cooling system pressure tested to find the leaks.
