Why does stubbing your toe HURT SO MUCH?!?

I can handle like... shots, a piercing, going head first into a wall, etc. but when I stub my toe!.... yikes. It's bad.

Anyways, why does it hurt so much?

Because next to your fingers your toes have the most nerve endings in your body.

just like your hands...your feet/toes are really sensitive and have a lot of nerve endings

There are 7000 nerve endings in the feet so they're extra sensitive

because when you swing your legs they are actually going pretty fast, and when something as small as a toe slams into something, its just common sense it would hurt
