16 species become extinct each day.

    That is 21,894 a year.

Go onto this site, it will give you the numbers for a day or a week, or a month for all sorts of things from population growth to numbers of computers produced.

Oh well, about ten years ago, it was only around 1 or 2. But NOW, because of those global warmingists (oop), its between 3 and 23845923874 species per week. Seriously, check out this website - www.savingthenvironmentforkoolpeople.co.uk/cheese. Hope i answered your question ;)

Yeah, always go with the 10-year-old made up data, and blame the problem on those who have done the research. Science is a liberal conspiracy.

It is impossible to know, since we do not even have a handle on how many species exist. Just recently a global spot survey of marine life in sea water samples revealed many previously unknown species.

hmm there isnt any predetermined rule that these many species have to go extinct in a year. i greatly varies according to the prevailing conditions. if there is excessive poaching of a kind of species they go extinct, if there is an epidemic running in a particular species they go extinct. no one can define an absolute number.
