If there's a specific time frame
"I was bored last tuesday"
you would use passe compose, je me suis ennuyeE
I think the person ahead of me is a female, so you would need another e after (it implies a feminine speaker when using passe compose with etre)
However if you are just making a general statement, or are STILL bored, I would use the imparfait:
je m'ennuyais

I'd have to agree that "je m'ennuyais" is the best way to say that at some un-named date in the past you were bored.
