A hotel is a commercial establishment that offers lodging to travelers. Some may also offer lodging to permanent residents. Hotels may also have restaurants, conference rooms, stores, and other services that are available to the general public. It can also defined as the place where it provides lodging to the travelers, banquetthalls for official parties, offers food to the guests make revenue on the owners point of view .

A restaurant (from French "restaurant") prepares and serves food and drink to customers. Meals are generally served and eaten on premises, but many restaurants also offer take-out and food delivery services. Restaurants vary greatly in appearance and offerings, including a wide variety of cuisines and service models.

A restaurant owner is called a restaurateur; both words derive from the French verb restaurer, meaning "to restore". Professional artisans of cooking are called chefs, while prep staff and line cooks prepare food items in a more systematic and less artistic fashion.

A hotel is a building where rooms complete with furniture are rented to people. This includes the room service like cleaning, changing the bed sheets, etc. and also having ones prepared meals and drinks served to the room if one desires so. There are also meals available in common rooms like in restaurants. Some hotels offer only 'bed and breakfast', although there are often called 'hostel'. Many hotels also offer other services like sauna, swimming pool, conference and party rooms, etc. One can stay one night or as long as one want and is able to pay. There are hotels one has to pay in advance and others one pays when one leaves. Restaurants are buildings were food and drinks are sold. One can consume these in a closed room with many tables or some times the tables are on an open terrace. The prepared food and the drinks are served by a person called waiter (what some times means that one has to wait quite some time after one has ordered...) There can be TV in the room or in exclusive restaurants there can be a life band. One can also sleep in a restaurant after the meal, especially if one had too much drinks, but this has to happen without bed and is not seen well by the restaurant owner. One also has to behave and can't sing or make other noise to express oneself. like burbling and farting. It is the same in hotels and restaurants: One has to pay the expensive bill and then they expect a generous tip, if not they look at you with a strange face and think you are a ******, miser, niggard, skinflint, meanie and tightwad. But in general people who verve's you in hotels and restaurants are nice people, but of course one pays for it and the smile in included. What doesn't mean that some times they are really friendly, although they are often stressed out because there are many people who abuse them, but with this there is no difference anywhere...

Hotel is defined by various dictionaries as a place that provides accommodation besides providing meal services. It is in general a place for lodging and food requirements of travelers and tourists.A restaurant is simply a place to have food outside your home. It is smaller in size than a hotel as it does not have accommodation facilities. The one and only feature of a restaurant is the kind of food and/or beverages it serves to its customers.

A hotel is basically a place to stay in the night, it may or may not have a restaurant within it. A restaurant on its own is simply a fairly grand place in which people eat, it has no accomodation.
