Does anyone know if the word cola fora beverage comes from Cola dynasty India (8th to 12th centuries dc)?

The Chola Dynasty of Inda has nothing to do with the word Cola like in Cocoa-cola.

    The original Cola recipe is very different from today's Cola. Original Coca-Cola contained (& no longer has either of) Cocaine & Kola Nut.

    Cocaine Kola = Coca Cola.
