IIPM is definitely a good institute, having outstanding curriculum with immense global exposure. Imagine being taught in a top management institute by the elite professors of leading global b-schools such as Haas (UC Berkeley), McCombs, NYU Stern, National University of Singapore (visit IIPM website and you would find all the details). Add to it that IIPM also has been inviting professors from leading management institutes from across the world at its campuses. No premier institute would allow a misuse of their name. So all this is true. Also, there is no argument that IIPM is the first in the management schools in India to provide such a world class exposure to its students. And to provide such an exposure, it does cost money. But looking at the offerings it provides and the kind of polishing it does, the fees is completely justifiable. And with respect to your another concern that IIPM is not government recognised, you should definitely read the latest Supreme Court ruling, which clearly quashed UGC's AICTE's powers over all forms of management education. IIPM has declined to be accredited by AICTE not because its curriculum is inferior in any aspect. Just ignore all the rumours.
