Vikarna was the half brother of Kauravas, the only son of dhritrashtra to survive the war because he switched sides prior to beginning of battle to be on side of dharma.

According to tradition, Gandhari gives a part of the divine portion to her favourite maid and Vikarna is born to that maid. He had also opposed the ********* of draupadi in court.

he was also known as Yuyutsu.

    Son of karna was Vrishasena.

@asker: he was the son of dhritarashtra, born of a vaishya maid who was given a part of divine portion by gandhari. So, in other words, he was the half brother of kauravas.
