Who is goddess saraswati ? wife or daughter of god brahma ?

In Matsya-Purana, Brahma, desiring to create the world, goes into meditation, whereupon his body divides into two halves : one male and the other female. Enraptured by his female half (who is Saraswati) Brahma desires her, mates with her and together they create the demigod Manu, who in turn created the world.

Another legends tells the story of how Saraswati sprang from the forehead of her father, Brahma. Brahma - when he saw the beauty of Saraswati - desiresd her even though she was by logic his daughter. Saraswati disliked the attention Brahma focused on her and tried to escape from him, but whichever way she moved, Brahman grew a head in that direction to see her better. Even when she moved upwards, Brahman grew another head on top. And despite divine objection, he still married her. In view of this, Goddess Saraswati has traditionally been worshiped in her individual capacity, as the patron Goddess of all knowledge and wisdom -without reference to her association with Brahma.

First problem is the wrong sources of your information about Hinduism, You asked me God Bramha had sex with her daughter? Answer is, Bramha is not God he is again a Deity who was appeared by the Manasik Shakti of Lord Vishnu, Bramha appeared Saraswati againg by his Manasik Shakti not by having SEX, Saraswati emerged from Brahmas throat when he said ÓM', So Saraswati was not Bramha's daughter as like your sister is daughter of your father. Bramha is potreyed like father of all other deties because He made them appear in this universe NOT BY HAVING SEX but by his Manasik Sankalp i.e power of conceousnes, finally Bramha accepted Saraswati as his wife... !!

When Brahma desired Saraswati and went to her, asking her to stay with him as his wife. She said, 'Your mouth speaks inauspiciously and so you will always speak in a contrary way.' From that day, Brahma's fifth head always spoke evilly and coarsely. Therefore one day when Siva was wandering about with Parvati and came to see Brahma, Brahma's four heads praised Siva but the fifth made an evil sound (because of that curse given by Saraswati). Siva, displeased with the fifth head, cut it off. The skull remained stuck fast to Siva's hand, and though he was capable of burning it up, Siva wandered the earth with it for the sake of all people, until he came to Benares. -- Siva Purana, Jnanasamhita 49:65-80.

As per MATSY PURAN, There was a time when GOD BRAHMA was only alone when the cosmos did not exist. He felt and long for company. Accordingly he decided to split himself in to two parts, creating a feminine counterpart. As mythology mentioned her in the name of SANDHYA, BRAHMI or SARASWATI who emerged from BRAHMA'S mouth.

Brahma was attracted and fell in love with her. His longing for her increased and he started looking at her constantly. To avoid his gaze, SARASWATI started moving from one side to another even flied on top but Brahma started looking towards her with out turning his head but creating heads all around, total of FIVE HEADS. Brahma finally requested her to help him to create the Universe.

Saraswati as his wife helped Brahma to execute his plan accordingly and created the demigod Manu, who ultimately created the world. She is the mother of our language, SANSKRIT as well Mother of the Vedas, texts of Hinduism.

Saraswati is known and worshiped as goddess of knowledge. She is the creator of all creative arts, poetry, music and science. Saraswati appeared as a divine river, water deity, as mentioned in RIGVEDA. Thus she is known as goddess of fertility and purification. Word Saraswati means, one which flows, not only water of river, flow of knowledge is also indicative.

Saraswati Puja is celebrated mostly by the students as goddess for Education, Arts and Crafts. She is also known as Bakdevi, Biraj, Sarada, Brahmi, Satarupa, Mahasweta, Sarbasukia, Prithudar and Bagiswari.

God knows from where such inconsistent stories are searched? What ever written above is absolutely lie and some misunderstood versions of some genuine details. Still if one is true Hindu then do not believe in such stories. Just pick up what is best in Hinduism and practice. If one does not find good in Hinduism then give up and search another religion. It is very sad to find, people or even Hindus are interested and read in such rubbish porno. What is or who is 'KOVOOR'?

Of course the answer is neither. The female counterparts of each God are just a view of the God, so Saraswati is Brahma. Traditionally the female form represents the power behind the God, so:

Branma has Saraswati, as creativity is the poser necessary to create

Vishnu has Lakshmi, as resources (wealth) are needed to preserve

Shiva has Parvati, who is also Kali the power behind destruction.

Most vedic stories are not to be taken literally, but have symbolic meaning
