Remote control is not purposefully done in farming. But situations like extensive area availability combined with labor shortage forces high technology oriented nations to adopt GPS based auatomation in Agriculture like automatic sowing to reaping using machines controlled at a base station with the help of GPS and satellite technology and which may be aptly called precision agriculture. India has good human and cattle resources even now and only experimental models could be possible. Otherwise it will be costlier and not cost effective. But we can have expert systems and remote interventions as and when required though not fully auatomated remote control.
