Why do christians eat pork when it is prohibited in bible?
The Bible prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus
"And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean toyou".
"Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, theyare unclean to you." [Leviticus 11:7-8]
Pork is also prohibited in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy
"And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, itis unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass."
A similar prohibition is repeated in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5

The bible is only read selectively by most christians.
They pick out the bits that support their existing value set, and conveniently ignore everything else. For example, look at all the evangelical nutjobs that practically ignore the old testament.Source(s): Jehovah's Big Book of Blarney

Actually, that is why Jews and Muslims don't eat pork.
but, as you have done some research before you put that chip on your shoulder, you know that Christians do not follow Jewish dietary laws.
There is nothing in the New Testament about eating or not eating pork.
Now, have a nice BLT and settle down.

Acts 11 provides authority to eat 'pork'. The individual makes their own choice.

Many of us born-again Christians don't eat pork because pigs are scavengers, and regularly eat sh^t. Pig flesh is unfit for human consumption.

That's the Old Testament.
The New Testament - Christians - believe we have a "new covenant" with Jesus which changed the rules of the game.

King James Version (KJV)
3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
