What is the difference between Veg Ghee and Non Veg Ghee ?

Real Ghee is veg ghee which is made from the milk of mammals especially cows, Non-veg ghee is made from the fat of dead animals and is NOT real ghee, i believe it is mostly made from pigs or something.Source(s): the THING in my room

There is no such thing as a an wholly NON-veg ghee! Its ridiculous!
Maybe the types of ghee that is adulterated by other fats got from vegetable/hydrogenated oils or vanaspathi/dalda are called IMPURE ghee.. Not NON-veg ghee!!!
Fats got from animals can't be added since most of them solidify at room temperatures..
Why would people who are manufacturing Impure ghee go in all sorts of trouble to find animal fats when there are vegetable fats quite easily available?!

PURE VEG . ! Ghee made from cow's milk Ghee is made by simmering unsalted butter in a cooking vessel until all water has boiled off, the milk solids (or protein) have settled to the bottom, and a froth has floated on top. After removing the froth, the cooked and clarified butter is then spooned off or tipped out carefully to avoid disturbing the milk solids on the bottom of the pan. Ghee can be stored for extended periods without refrigeration, provided that it is kept in an airtight container to prevent oxidation and remains moisture-free. The texture, color, or taste of ghee depends on the source of the milk from which the butter was made and the extent of boiling and simmering.

well pure ghee is veg made from milk fat and caintain high quality saturated fat pufa and mufa and does not caintain transfat so it is smooth semi liquid thin consistancy at room temperature and it is healthy but if it has any adulterate like vegetable oil(vanaspati ghee,) or animal fat it will caintain transfat and will be semisolid not smooth nor granular. and it will be much thicker and stickyer lumpy and is unhealthy and usually white in color

Non Veg Ghee is extracted out of the fat & bones of dead animals by boiling them at high temperature.
These days it is a common feature that Pure Veg Ghee is hardly available in Indian markets.

Veg Ghee is taken out of milk.
Non veg Ghee is probably taken out of fat deposits on the body / flesh of animal while slaughtering for food.
