Frigidaire ice maker quit. Checked everything and made sure lines were not frozen. Waited a couple days.?

Finally gave up and ordered inlet valve. Then went later and checked tray. Ice maker had miraculously started working again with no discernable reason. What could make that happen?

Solenoid valve is sticking. When stuck it won't have water to make ice. When open ice maker gets water and the ice maker works. If you listen you can hear the solenoid come on and stay on about 7 to 10 seconds. You can change it yourself if you are handy at diy repairs. Its in the back near where the water supply comes in. Cut the water off first.
