How can Faleena be in San Angelo?

In the Marty Robbins song "Faleena" Faleena commits suicide in El Paso. Yet in the movie "Ballad of a Gun Fighter" she's in San Angelo talking to Socora recalling her time in El Paso when she worked at Rosa's Cantina. How can this be?

The song and the movie are both fiction. The song "El Paso" was released in 1959. The movie was released in 1964 (written by Bill Ward, starring Marty Robbins) and the song "Faleena (From El Paso)" was released in 1966.
