Video of porch pirates?

I have heard that police pay very little attention to video of people stealing items off one's porch. There is simply no practical way of identifying people by their image. Add that to the fact that images clear enough to identify a persons' face are very rare. Are they really still worth getting?

Where did you get these oddly antiquated facts?

The reality is cops just don't care about petty theft like this. It isn't worth their time.

It's time for booby traps or boxes of used kitty litter.

Yes. They are at least some evidence that a shipping company just left something without obtaining the required signature. It's happened to me.

What you have heard is incorrect. Btw, insurance companies and shipping companies and selleers who ship also want proof of the theft,

Depends. In rural areas sometimes the sheriff's deputies know everyone in the county. Sadly, you don't know where you live.

If using a cheap CCTV then it is useless, so you need a clear image CCTV and there are plenty which are not expensive to purchase/fit and if you have clear evidence which shows the personn stealing then of course the police have evidence to look for them and will do
