A rebuilt Notre Dame would be like a Disneyland castle.

If this occurred in the united states this would either become a sanctuary structure for the illegals or low income housing

Europe rebuilt itself after WWII and France is quite capable of putting Notre Dame back together again.

You could never rebuild it to how it was. Tragic that such a beautiful and historic building has been destroyed. May be turn it into a peace garden.

it took 400 years to build Notre Dame. Good luck with that.

by the time the fire is out......the stones will have been super heated and cracked, and even if some walls are left standing.........they would be structually unsound.

Some part might remain standing.......but, the Church is gone. the roof is toast.......it's burning end to end........

any attempt to rebuild, the way it was, would take decades.....if not literally centuries.

What some places have done.....is leave the facade........and then just build a simple building behind it.

I don't think it will ever be what it once was, again. The damage seems total. They may even have to raze parts of it........as a safety hazard.

    What a damn shame.

    • The Keiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin was left as a ruin after the war. You can walk amongst the ruined stones. They build a modern replacement church next to it.

If the building envelope survives I would say they'll redo it

The should replace the now fallen dome in Paris with a billboard of the Notre Dame Football team in South Bend, Indiana carrying Rudy on their shoulders.

I wouldnt be surprised if they did to the Notre Dame building what we did to the Twin Towers.

    Just leave it.
