Pssh. Yeah. Who hasn't? I think everyone has at one point or another. I've never been a shoplifter, per se, though, meaning it's never been a way of life, a chronic thing I did. But, yeah, in my younger years, there was a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses here, a Lacoste sweater there, a pair of Nikes somewhere else. I think the last thing I shoplifted was in 2006.
It was a Coach wallet while I was on vacation in Orlando. Turns out that the handful of times I shoplifted, I was a bit of a whore for the name brands. Go big or go home, right? Only ever doing it at super expensive, corporate, retail stores, I think I always justified it, like I thought I was sticking it to the Man for always gouging me for the stuff I bought there. Like I never shoplifted from a mom-and-pop shop, and never would've. Apparently, when shoplifting, I nonetheless had a code I lived by.
