Is Alexi and voice algorithms sexist?

The UN said they are because most voice controls are female and come across as subservient, I’m guessing they would have said it was sexist if most voice controls were male, but anyway should all voice algorithms be gender neautral or should the UN be dealing with more important issues

Seems to me that the UN has a lot more important things to worry about than what gender is represented by your AI program. I seem to remember a study done a long time ago when AI programs were first being developed that said that people are more likely to listen to a female voice.

Like history and stuff. As I suggested if voice commands were all male they would have said that was sexist, they’re blinded by their ideology I’m afraid

There’s no such thing as “gender neutral”.

    The UN should be abolished.

  • Any proof of your claim that the "UN says this?"

Or will it turn out to be one person at some agency who made a comment?

I chose the female English voice on my GPS.
