Why did The Professionals and The Sweeney portray London as mostly English?

    Very disingenuous. You really mean "mostly white", don't you?.

    The Professionals was a pile of shite anyway, and the Sweeny was only popular because it had a bit of make believe violence. and all the crims drove their XJS through cardboard boxes every week while Dennis Waterman said "'ere guv".

    I remember the terrorists in the Professionals were always Arabs, we obviously didn't rely on their money then. In reality the terrorist then were white too, Irish.

    Cowley was Scottish. Part of what makes "gritty" modern crap like Line of Duty so silly is the obvious diversity quota in tough guy roles like armed response teams
